Data Collection

Fressh does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs that track your usage.

Your Data

All data โ€” including your feed subscriptions, articles, and starred items โ€” is stored locally on your device and never sent to any server operated by us.

RSS Feeds

RSS feeds are fetched directly from the URLs you provide, when you refresh and also in the background. Your device connects to those feed servers directly, and those servers may log your IP address as part of normal web server operation. We have no control over third-party servers.

Third-Party Services

Fressh connects to the services below directly from your device. We do not operate them and receive no data from them. Like any website you visit, each of them can see your IP address and standard request details.

Google favicon service. Used to display feed icons. Only the feed's domain is sent (for example, example.com).

YouTube. When you add a YouTube channel, Fressh fetches the channel's public video feed and its public channel page (to read the channel ID and icon), and uses YouTube's oEmbed API to size videos (only the video URL is sent). When you open a video in the reader, it plays in YouTube's embedded player, which is loaded from youtube.com. Through that player, YouTube (Google) may use cookies and collect information such as your IP address, device details, and viewing activity, as described in the Google Privacy Policy. Fressh never receives this information. No Google or YouTube account or API key is used.

Reddit. When you add a subreddit, Fressh fetches its public RSS feed directly from reddit.com. No Reddit account or API key is used.

Opening Articles in the Browser

Open in Browser shows the article's own web page inside the app using Safari. That page is provided by its publisher and is covered by their privacy policy, not ours.

Notifications

Fressh may ask for permission to show a badge on the app icon with the number of unread articles. The number is calculated on your device. Fressh does not send alerts or notifications, and nothing about them is sent anywhere.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL.
